Next Generation eCargo Bike Previewed by EAV

The EAV2 cargo bikes, which will be available from November, are on show at events through September. New model’s advancements based on 4 years in the field – include a reinforced chassis and bespoke wheels built for heavy-duty use in urban environments. New features enable faster and more varied working processes and provide additional all-weather protection. EAV2s will be rideable at IAA in Munich, and present at Oxford eBike Summit, Cenex and Going Greener events.

MUNICH & UK – 05-09 SEPT, 2023

EAV, the British manufacturer of eCargo bikes, have been demonstrating their next generation eCargo bike at premier mobility events this September, including IAA.

The new model has been available to preview at IAA and is being billed as the most productive cargo bikes for urban operations.

Targeting maximal operating time in-field, and a reduced cost per mile for EAV’s partners, the EAV2 has been re-engineered using market analysis, customer insights, and data gained from EAV’s four years on the market in global cities. The model will come with telematics as standard.

A reinforced chassis and wheelbase, developed via automotive processes, will enable market leading resilience in eCargo bike operations, with the larger 2100L capacity.

Additional design features are optimised for rider comfort and safety, including in adverse weather conditions. These include protected lighting and mirrors, windscreen wipers and mudguards, which enable a more comfortable and productive riding experience.

The EAV2 model is being previewed through September, and will be available to pre-order from Q4 2023.

Meanwhile attendees at IAA Mobility in Munich, Oxford eBIke Summit, Cenex and ‘Going Greener’ events have been able to get a first look at the new design and features. Feedback so far has been extremely positive.
