What do wooden floors, steel and e-mobility have in common? Nothing at first glance. The core of the project is the development of a lightweight battery housing made of steel-wood composite. Wood should complement the properties of steel. The advantages lie in the strength and fire protection, in the crash behavior as well as in the environmental footprint and recycling.
