Under the umbrella of the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (DBSV e.V.), a network has formed around LOC.id - an app-based solution for accessibility - which includes partners from various application areas. The common goal is to improve accessibility for highly visually impaired people in public spaces. For example, LOC.id makes e-scooters and cargo bikes sound, people movers, buses and trains speak, and traffic lights become louder according to need. Close cooperation in the network drives the development and integration of innovative, digital functions and strengthens the mobility and participation of highly visually impaired people in the sense of an inclusive society.
