Interdisciplinary mobility research, development and transfer in Karlsruhe

The requirements for mobility solutions are becoming increasingly complex - and consequently the need for a systemic and interdisciplinary approach.

Therefore the KAMO: Karlsruhe Mobility High Performance Center* bundles the competencies of Karlsruhe's research, education and transfer institutions to support companies in developing innovative, ready-to-market solutions. Our spectrum is divided into the research fields »Mobility and Society«, »Vehicles and Environment« and »Digitalization«. At IAA MOBILITY, we will showcase our expertise using project examples from »Country to City Bridge«, »AVEAS«, »DAKIMO« and others.

* Since 2016, the KAMO HPC has been organizing the collaboration between research, industry, and society. It brings together the Karlsruhe-based institutions Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT, Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation IOSB, Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Hochschule Karlsruhe – University of Applied Sciences (HKA), and FZI Research Center for Information Technology.
