The MAHLE Active Air Purifier ensures first-class cabin air quality in a vehicle. The purifier operates with particle ionization combined with an activated filter. In this process, the particles are continuously negatively charged in an air flow. The filter can also be electrically activated in order to maintain the filtration efficiency at a constantly high level over the entire service life of the filter. The result is first-class cabin air quality during the entire filter service life.

The MAHLE Active Air Purifier can be operated with standard hybrid filters. No complex special solutions are therefore required. However, filtration performance can be further improved with a filter optimized by MAHLE.

The system is ready for series application and prototypes are available.
